Schönwald is home to Piedmont Tree Climbing and we have been teaching people to climb trees safely using ropes and harness since 2015. There are many wonderful trees at Schönwald that new or experienced climbers can experience. We host birthday party tree climbs and team building activities, too. In addition to tree climbing, visitors to Schönwald will discover other fun outdoor activities such as 4 giant tree swings, a 240-foot zipline, nature trails, a trampoline, hayrides, campfires, movies under the stars, and old-fashioned outdoor play for young and old including a giant see-saw, horseshoes, and other "frontier" games.
There is a gender-neutral public restroom and outdoor hand washing stations at Schönwald.
